I have a science report to do on Venus, and how ways we could survive living there if Earth was doomed. I need a bunch of info, but right now I just need to know what that cloud layer is composed of, as well as what the atmosphere is composed of.
Help?
%26lt;33What is the thick cloud layer surrounding venus composed of?
It's 97% carbon dioxide with clouds of sulfuric acid and compounds of chlorine and fluorine. Even if you descend into the atmosphere to a depth equivalent to the pressure at the surface of the earth, the sulfuric acid makes it a nasty place.
Surface temperatures are between 800 and 900 degrees F with a pressure 90 times that at the surface of the earth. Of all the solid surface bodies in the solar system, it is probably the most hostile. Colonization of the surface of Venus would never even be considered. What is the thick cloud layer surrounding venus composed of?
carbon dioxide and nitrogen. oooooh and droplets of sulfuric acid. sorry but i dont consider droplets to be main components. What is the thick cloud layer surrounding venus composed of?
A lot of the same gases that are in our atmosphere, just a lot more of it. Carbon dioxide (CO2): http://www.windows.ucar.edu/tour/link=/v鈥?/a>
