Why is it that 1 of the greatest minds in human history believes there had to be a first cause?

Albert Einstien is without doubt one of the most brilliant minds in all human history. Yes, he made some mistakes, but still is held in high regard. He holds that scientific logic dictates that there can be no effect without a cause. So, perhaps there was a .."big Boom." of Bang if you prefer. One scientist came up with a new way of explaining how biology works {Darwin}. A generation later, the other one came up with a new way of explaining how physics works{Einstien}.

Today, after a century of scrutiny, both explanations still pretty much hold up. But oddly in popular culture, physicist Albert Einstein is idolized, while biologist Charles Darwin's legacy is clouded with controversy. Both men without doubt geniuses.

Einstien, while not traditionally a "religious" person has many quotes that indicate that his brilliant mind held faith that there exists a mystery as to just how all things started. He held that things just didn't "happen." Something..some call that something "God" caused the effect of what we call→ "life on planet earth." His quotes indicate there is something more than just meets the eye..Even if that something is examined by the most powerful electron microscope.

My faith is the same as was his.

We are not here today through some "random" chaotic event. Something CAUSED us to be here. What that something is/was I doubt humans will ever find out.

Maybe humans are not supposed to find it out.

So is the mystery of ..faith.

Here some quotes from Einstien referring to just what I had formerly stated. We are NOT an accident. We are more than mere biological freaks. If you can't reprehend the quotes or bother to read them, you are testament to the notion→ "Truth hurts."

I want to know God's thoughts; the rest are details."

"Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one."

"I am convinced that He (God) does not play dice."

"God is subtle but he is not malicious."

"The eternal mystery of the world is its comprehensibility."

"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind."

"God does not care about our mathematical difficulties. He integrates empirically."

"The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is comprehensible."Why is it that 1 of the greatest minds in human history believes there had to be a first cause?
So... will this pay my rent?
What Einstein thinks has nothing to do with me. There is no god...period.Why is it that 1 of the greatest minds in human history believes there had to be a first cause?
Quote mining Einstein does not make you clever or give your point any validity
Are you always this stupid or are you making a special effort today ?Why is it that 1 of the greatest minds in human history believes there had to be a first cause?
Here is one you left out "I cannot conceive of a personal God who would directly influence the actions of individuals, or would directly sit in judgment on creatures of his own creation. I cannot do this in spite of the fact that mechanistic causality has, to a certain extent, been placed in doubt by modern science. My religiosity consists in a humble admiration of the infinitely superior spirit that reveals itself in the little that we, with our weak and transitory understanding, can comprehend of reality. Morality is of the highest importance -- but for us, not for God. "
Einstein was not a Christian or Muslim, although he did believe in God. He was a deist.
Appeal to authority fail.
Albert Einstein was just a very educated person who stumbled on some insight into the study of energy and matter. He was not a genius. He used lateral thinking techniques by using his brain capacity. He was well ahead of his time. Most of the ordinary people from that time had average IQs and were less educated.
While Einstein did astound the scientific community during the early part of the last century, recent findings in quantum theoretical physics pose a serious challenge to his initial as well as revised versions of what he called "relativity" and it's implications for our view of physical nature.

Overall he is overrated in large part due to his fame as an obscure and quirky intellectual.
To answer your question (since none of the long post dealt with your question, but instead was just a statement of your personal opinions): Intelligence does not mean a lack of belief in a higher power or collection of higher powers. There is a slight correlation between the two (intelligence and lack of belief) but not enough to make many reliable predictions.

In the end, until there is evidence for the existence of any deities, there is no rational reason to think there are any. As you stated, it is a matter of faith (belief without evidence).
Why are most people pretending to be wiser? There is God and it will be always that way and If He do not exist in your world Atheists, nothing to blame but your little minds that could never accommodate something as little as a mustard seed. LOL
he also knew how our sun was powered.. Knew of many things we could not.. But... He still had trouble remembering how to tie his shoe laces.. And.. Forgot to wear socks a lot.. And comb his hair.. But.. A brilliant mind looks over those trivial things...
